THE ENGLAND World Cup squad has today been confirmed by Gareth Southgate with two shock names included in the ranks.

GETTY
England World Cup squad: Gareth Southgate has named his 23-man squad
As expected, Joe Hart and Jack Wilshere have both missed out but there are surprise call-ups for Liverpool teenager Trent Alexander-Arnold and Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
England U21 defender Alexander-Arnold, 19, is uncapped at senior level and his inclusion has blindsided many.
He has not been in a squad before but was invited to train with the seniors at the last get-together for the friendlies with Italy and Holland in March.
Although the news is less positive for Hart. Southgate called the 75-cap goalkeeper Hart on Monday evening to tell him he would not be in the squad, which at 31 could well signal the end of his international career following a difficult spell at club level.
Wilshere, meanwhile, has not played for his country since the Euro 2016 exit to Iceland. He was in line to start against Holland in March before injury put his World Cup hopes ijeopardy.
Manchester City's versatile Fabian Delph is included by Southgate, along with Tottenham defender Danny Rose and Manchester United wing-back Ashley Young.
Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski is on a five-man list of standby players which includes Tom Heaton, Lewis Cook, Jake Livermore and Adam Lallana.
Given Hart's absence, uncapped Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope, 26, has got the nod to make the trip alongside Jordan Pickford and Jack Butland, who was relegated with Stoke.
Swansea's Alfie Mawson, an unused member of the squad in March, is out after going under the knife so Southgate has chosen Chris Smalling to bolster his centre-back options.
In midfield, Newcastle's Jonjo Shelvey has performed well recently, but last donned the Three Lions in November 2015. He has missed out.
