James McArthur has been linked with a switch to Aston Villa but according to his latest tweets, he could be set to snub a switch to the club.

The Birmingham Mail claims that the midfielder is a potential transfer target for Steve Bruce’s side, who are currently 1-0 up on aggregate against Middlesbrough in the play-off games.
The midfielder featured in 35 games in all competitions for Crystal Palace during the 2017/18 season and he played a key role in the centre of the field for the Eagles, as Roy Hodgson managed to keep the club in the Premier League after the club looked potential candidates for relegation in the league.
The 30-year old featured in a variety of roles for the club during the campaign, playing all along the midfield from right midfield to left midfield and Steve Bruce is believed to be eager to add the player to his squad.
However, the player himself has appeared to claim his future is at Crystal Palace with his latest two tweets on Twitter.
Here are those two tweets from the 30-year old:
Reading the player’s tweets, it seems as if McArthur certainly believes that he shall be playing in the Premier League with Crystal Palace next season.
If Aston Villa do make a concrete bid for the Scotland international though, then the player could in fact decide to swap the Eagles for the Villains next campaign – especially if Steve Bruce’s side win in the play-offs and claim a Premier League spot of their own for the next campaign.
