Renato Sanches, Euro 2016 young player of the tournament, has been left out of Portugal's squad for the 2018 World Cup.
The
20-year-old has failed to even make the 35-man preliminary squad picked
by manager Fernando Santos, which was announced on Monday.
Sanches spent the season on loan at Swansea City, but failed to prevent the Welsh club being relegated from the Premier League.
